Is a district town at the confluence of Labe und Ohře, a centre of agriculture which is presented yearly by the plentifully frequented show Zahrada Čech. It was promoted to town in 1228. The Mírové náměstí (the main square), where traditionally starts the first stage of the cycling race Závod míru juniorů (Race for Peace of Juniors), displays a lot of old houses from ages of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque.
The most famous in the rack ever was Mr Luděk Štyks – the quadruple champion of the Republic on the road, in 1987 6th at the Word Championship of non-professionals in Villach, the yellow jersey holder in many cycling stage races in the eightieth and the ninetieth of the 20th century. Here take place the starts and finishes of the first stage of the Race for Peace of Juniors.
Město Lom, rozkládající se na úpatí Krušných hor, sahá svou historií až do 12.století., kdy zde vznikla na podkrušnohorské obchodní cestě na místě větrných polomů historická osada . Náležela jednomu z nejmocnějších šlechtických rodů své doby - pánům Hrabišovcům z Oseka, zakladatelům oseckého hradu Riesenburk. Později v 1.polovině 14.století byla osada věnována mnišskému řádu cisterciáků z Oseckého kláštera.. Původně byl Lom zemědělskou usedlostí, od počátku 17.století je jeho historie úzce spjata s rudným dolováním a těžbou hnědého uhlí. Díky hnědému uhlí hrozila městu v minulém století likvidace, až po vybudování tzv. ochranného pilíře mohou jeho dějiny pokračovat dál. Území města zasahuje podstatnou částí do horské oblasti a je propojeno řadou turistických stezek, cyklostezek a naučnou stezkou s cenným přírodním parkem Loučenská pahorkatina, se vzácnými lokalitami porostů, přírodních útvarů a ptačí rezervací. Za zhlédnutí stojí také řada kulturních a hornických památek.V současnosti je město v nebývalém rozvoji díky vzniku nových lokalit na bydlení.
Turisté a obyvatelé města mohou využít městskou cyklostezku směrem na Mariánské Radčice a dále v horní části města napojení na řadu cyklostezek, které prochází až na vrcholy Krušných hor, okolo Flájské přehrady a Flájské obory a díky příhraničním přechodům na německou stranu. Po cyklisty je zřízena v měsících květen až září doprava cyklobusem na vrcholy Krušných hor každý víkend v sobotu z Litvínova do Nové Vsi v Horách a v neděli z Litvínova do Dlouhé Louky. Tradicí pro město se již stal bikerský závod na nejvyšší vrchol severozápadních Krušných hor, horu Loučná, který město každý rok organizuje a těší se velké oblibě.
Litvinov resides at the southern foot\ownship to “Horni Litvinov” and therefore the right to use its own city seal and hold an annual market. In 1852 Litvinov reached city status.
In 2009 organized cycling celebrated its 60th annual of Litvínovská. Litvinov raised a number of great cyclists, such as P. Svoboda, winner of one of the stages of the Peace Race, J. Holeček, who was seventh in 1969 World Championships in Brno. Some of our junior cyclists achieved international success in World Championships in road cycling for juniors: V. Flégl, V. Valtr, L. Masek, P. Moidl, P. Cermak. Championship CR acquired veterans V. Svab, L. Sládeček. Around Litvinov dozens of competitions are held every year. One of the most popular competitions during the last years is the Erzgebirgsmarathon for mountain bikers.
The town is a fruit-growing area under the ruin of the Košťálov fortified castle. Historical sources mention that this originally market place became town in 1299.
The most famous cycling natives are Jiří Korous, winner of the bronze medal at the Championships of Juniors and also winner of the Race for Peace of Juniors 1976, and the champion of the Czech Republic in the category of juniors Ms Věra Rubešová. In the last years took here place one stage of the Race for Peace of Juniors – the time trial of individuals.
Originally the market town owned by the bishops of Prague, first mentioned as town in 1237. Roudnice is situated in the picturesque countryside under the memorable Říp mountain. It is an important centre of agriculture and fruit-growing.
The local cycling club was founded in 1885 and it has been active since then. Its activity aimed prevailingly at tourist biking but from time to time appeared here excellent racers too. The first among them was Václav Kratochvíl, the champion in driving the “high bike” in the last decade of the 19th century. The last one is Ms Martina Růžičková, member of the national team, and champion of the Czech Republic. Each year takes here place one of the stages of the Race for Peace of Juniors on the fixed.
Is one of the industrial towns and industrial centre at the foot of Krušné hory. The local thermal resort based on radioactive water helps cure locomotive organs and circulatory system diseases.
When seeing it in relationship with the Race for Peace of Juniors, the town is a tyro nevertheless the cycling has a rich tradition here, dating back to the end of the 19th century. Many times cycling events had been organised here, championships and cup competitions,
both, on the road, and crosses. Internationally was the year 2004 of interest as the open championship of physically handicapped sportsmen took place here, and in the town was the finish of one of the stages of the Race for Peace. This stage won the outstanding German professional cyclist Erich Zabel.

Since the thirties of the last century the spa and sports city Altenberg is one of the most popular excursion in the eastern Erzgebirge. By the Settlement patent issued on 9th of December 1782 was Terezín proclaimed the Free Town in possession of the King. The town was a huge fortress system intended to protect Bohemia against invasions from northwest. It was subordinated to military needs almost all the time of its existence. The most tragic chapter of the history symbolize the years 1939–1945, when the Nazi secret police HQ in Prague – the Gestapo – established here a complex of prisons, the ghetto for Jews, in which 86 thousands of them perished.
In the end of the 19th century the Cycling Club was founded, and its activity has been restored in 1957. It is the merit of the cycling couch Jaroslav Merhhart (he lived at the square Čs. armády at the distance of about 50 meters from the start and finish of the last stage of the Race for Peace of Juniors) that there was great attention paid especially to the youth. In the than established Centre of Cadets and Juniors started their cycling careers outstanding members of the national team Svatopluk Henke (at present in the role of the race director – he maintains the tradition founded by Mr Menhhart) Ladislav Heller (winner of three stages of the Race for Peace), Luděk Štyks, Jiří Korous and many others. The club is the established organiser of the Race for Peace of Juniors (excluding the 2nd year), of the New Year’s Eve cyclo cross, University Championship of the Czech Republic, and many other cycling events.
