Final Day of the Junior Peace Race to Feature Four Mountain Primes in Chudoslavice

The concluding Sunday stage around Terezín is one of the key moments of the entire Junior Peace Race. The profile of the final day, featuring repeated laps through Chudoslavice, could still have a major impact on the battle for the overall classification, particularly if the time gaps between the leading favourites remain small. The junior riders face a 102.4-kilometre stage combining a fast opening section, technical roads and four mountain primes.

Date: Sunday, 10 May 2026 – 9:00
Stage 4: Road Race Terezín - Terezín
Start: náměstí ČSA, Terezín
Finish: náměstí ČSA, Terezín
Race Distance: 102.4 km
GPM: 4
Intermediate Sprint: 2

Fast Opening Could Trigger Aggressive Racing

The final stage is scheduled to start at 09:00 from náměstí Čs. armády in Terezín. The opening section of the route leads through Nučničky, Libotenice and Hrobce towards Hrdly, where the first intermediate sprint of the day will be contested already at kilometre 17.

Shortly afterwards, the peloton will also contest a second intermediate sprint directly in Terezín. The opening kilometres could therefore produce a very high pace and an intense fight to establish a breakaway aiming to collect points in the points classification before the race reaches the more demanding section of the stage.

Chudoslavice Circuits to Deliver Battles Between the Favourites and a Spectacular Atmosphere

The character of the race will change significantly after Litoměřice, when the peloton heads towards Ploskovice. From there, the riders enter a circuit leading through Chudoslavice, Třebušín, Dolní Týnec and Býčkovice.

Each lap culminates with the climb to Chudoslavice, where points for the mountains classification will be awarded. Four passages over the same climb could gradually increase the selection within the peloton and play a decisive role not only in the battle for the stage victory, but also in the fight for the yellow jersey.

With the expected small time gaps between the leading contenders, every passage through Chudoslavice could have a crucial impact on the final overall standings. The technical approach to the climb, repeated accelerations and growing fatigue will further increase the importance of team tactics. The final stage therefore offers plenty of opportunities for aggressive racing and possible attacks from the favourites targeting the overall classification.

In recent years, Chudoslavice has become one of the most popular spectator locations of the final stage. The mountain prime, which the peloton will tackle four times in total, attracts increasing numbers of fans every year and regularly creates one of the best atmospheres of the entire Junior Peace Race. The circuit format also allows spectators to follow the race multiple times within a short period. The first passage of the leading riders through Chudoslavice is expected shortly before 10:00, with the final passage scheduled at approximately 10:50.

Return to Terezín to Close the Entire Race

After completing the final lap, the race will return through Ploskovice and Litoměřice back to Terezín, where the finish line will be located on náměstí Čs. armády. The winner of the final stage is expected to finish between approximately 11:20 and 11:30.

The profile of the final day traditionally creates opportunities for aggressive racing all the way to the closing kilometres, and this year should once again deliver intense battles between the favourites. The repeated climb to Chudoslavice could ultimately decide the final overall standings of the entire race.

Immediately after the finish, the official award ceremony for the stage winners and overall classifications will take place, bringing another edition of the Junior Peace Race, part of the UCI Nations’ Cup Junior series, to a close.
