Antonio Tibery went through the time trial in the shortest time

Třebenice – Antonio Tiberi of Italy flew through the individual TT in the shortest time. The yellow jersey of the Junior Peace Race still belongs to Hugo Toumire from the French national team. The best among the host nation riders was Mathias Vacek, just out of the top ten.

           „The TT is always important test for the GC leaders. I actually don't really know how I managed, nonetheless, I am still holding on to the yellow. I'm am surprised myself. We have a strong team here, therefore I will try to keep it after the afternoon stage as well." commented the GC leader Hugo Toumire.

           The Frenchman finished the TT in the seventh fastest time, 25 seconds behind the winner the Italian Tiberi. Well, Tiberi is not a newcomer to the race, he competed already last year. He finished sixth overall and as the best among the young riders. This means one has to count him among the favourites. Just five seconds behind the Italian was Maurice Balerstedt from Germany and third another Italian Andrea Piccolo, the third in the last junior world championships.

The afternoon stage in roudnice is shorter than other sages as it is the second challenge for the riders today. It is a rather flat stage, but the wind can play important role.
