Day 2 – Individual Time Trial before noon, road race stage in the afternoon

Stage Preview

In yesterday's stage, after a solo breakaway, Hugo Toumire arrived first to the finish. Thanks to this victory the young frenchman get to wear the yellow jersey for the first time in the junior category of the Nations' Cup. Today he will try to defend his 20 seconds advantage in the individual time trial. The ITT is rather flat, nonetheless a challenging test.

Start/Finish Town

Třebenice is a little town about 15km form Litoměřice, the yesterdays stage town. Třebenice has some two thousand inhabitants. There is a Museum of the Bohemian garnet, which is mined nearby. The museum shows many historical and contemporary jewelry embedded with these garnets.

Start: Karlovo náměstí (Charles square), Roudnice nad Labem
Finish: třída Tomáše Garrigua Masaryka (Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk avenue), Roudnice nad Labem

Stage Preview

Stage 2b start in the Charles square (Karlovo náměstí) in Roudnice nad Labem. this is a stage for the sprinters and Marco Brenner of Germany will try to defend the green jersey. That is one intermediate sprint and two special premiums in this stage. They are all at the same place in Budyně nad Ohří. This is the shortest stage and should take no more than two hours to complete. The finish is in the same town, Roudnice nad Labem, few hundreds of meter from where the start was, that is on the Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk avenue.

Start/Finish Town 
Roudnice nad Labem is a town on the left bank of the Labe river, about 20km from Litoměřice. It has 13 thousand people living there. The nearby hill Říp is famous for its role in the oldest history of the Czech tribes. Allegedly, this is the place where upon arrival the chieftain decided that his Slavic tribes should settle permanently in these fertile lands. Later, a romanesque rotunda was build on the summit, first mentioned in historical texts in 1126 a.d.
